Astrology Forecast: April 2019
A new season has begun. A truer new year has begun. Aries being the first sign of the zodiac starts a whole new cycle.
The water is being turned to vapors as we now feel the rush of that fiery Aries. Mars ruled Aries represents our identity, our drive and our passion to move forward. It's welcomed energy, after a cold dark season where we may have felt a lull. That fire of Aries gives us the urge to forge ahead discovering ourselves and figure out what we want. The key is we need to initiate this energy and when we do, we find ourselves in a world that seems to open up in ways we only dreamed of. The Aries new moon will definitely help. Amongst other things this month, three planets will be going retrograde: Jupiter, Saturn and Pluto. We’ll go over a few things that will get you in gear for the months ahead so you can utilize these energies on your path to self-discovery.
New Moon in Aries 15° April 5 at 1:50am PST
As with all new moons, it's time to go within and tap into what those needs and wants in your life really are. Write down what you want to accomplish and how you will go about it. The moon is in Aries and activates a “go get ‘em” kind of energy! Remember not to act until you see the first sliver of the new moon a couple of days later. Taking this time will also help you with the square the moon is making to Saturn, which is conjunct the South Node.
Aries Moon square Saturn in Capricorn: This is a call to slow down just a tad with the impulsive energy of Aries and look around careful not to rush into anything blindly. It could feel a little frustrating when you're all primed to go- but make sure you lay down a realistic structure for yourself. Be aware of where your obstacles might be to ensure you can get around them while still working your plan.
Saturn conjunct South Node in Capricorn: Saturn and the South Node have been a theme lately. The best thing to do with this energy is to let it help you see things from the past that need to no longer be a part of your paradigm in order to evolve. It's very important to remove the things that do not align with the self you are finding. Name those things that are holding you back and consciously and responsibly do away with them. The only way we can experience more in our lives is if we have room for it.
Jupiter, Saturn, and Pluto Retrograde
We always hear about Mercury retrograde, everywhere it seems. From memes to interactions with random people as we go about our day. What is a retrograde and why do people freak out a little? Retrograde is when Earth is on its closest approach to the specific planet and as we approach it tends to look like it slows down to what seems a standstill. What does this mean for you? Planets go retro every year, and during this time they are closer to earth. Which means we hold the attributes of those planets closer to ourselves and tend to internalize. It’s a time to rethink and re-do. We can tap into the energy of the planet and get clear on some things because retrogrades absolutely give you the time to figure them out
Jupiter Retrograde in Sagittarius (24°-14°) April 10 - August 10
Jupiter represents expansion, higher learning, spirituality, our beliefs, and our inspiration. During Jupiter retrograde, we need to consider that it is time to re-evaluate. It's time to take a look at our truths, what fully inspires you, and adjust a bit. Make sure you are in alignment with what you believe. Remember to try to not be too hard on yourself. Retrogrades, as mentioned above, are times when we internalize things so be aware of that and really love yourself so you can figure out how you can take a more optimistic approach to your life.
Saturn Retrograde in Capricorn (20°-13°) April 29 - September 18
Saturn the planet of time, work, responsibility and Karma, is in its home sign of Capricorn. This gives us a great opportunity to look at the structure of our lives and our responsibilities and see if everything is up to par. Make sure, during this time especially, to be REAL. Be honest, do your work and see you're holding up to your responsibilities. If you think to yourself, “I shouldn't do this...” then don't do it. If you said you’re going to do something-do it. Saturn has everything to do with integrity. Take time to restructure foundations in your life that need to be a little stronger. Figure out which things aren’t working for you. You’ll have time to rework your commitments responsibly.
Pluto Retrograde in Capricorn 23°-20° April 24 - October 2
Pluto the ‘great transformer” will go retrograde in the sign of Capricorn. Pluto is a very powerful sign that deals with inner workings. Sometimes it feels hard to see the benefits of what we are going through on the external. It can be a slow blooming time, but we need to remember it's all developing. Is there something you've been hanging on to? Do you feel there’s an area you need to grow in? My best advice would be to let go- the transformation is going to happen either way. Letting go of control and taking this time to ease into your new self, envisioning what that will look like, is the most beneficial thing you can do at this time.
Self-discovery is calling! If you take the time to center and tap into these energies. It will be the perfect opportunity to learn something about yourself. We need to be in the moment and take the right steps, guided by cues from the universe to really be on our paths. If something feels off or frustrating in your life, slow down and tune in. A great thing to do is go on YouTube and find some binaural beats or solfeggio frequencies to align with what you desire. Use these energies to your advantage and you'll get a little boost from the universe in the right direction. I promise you’ll look back with amazement at how it all flows together.
