Birth Education: Upcoming Offerings

HypnoBirthing Series: The Mongan Method

Join Kellie Livingstone, birth doula and childbirth educator, for a 5-week HypnoBirthing course to help you have a more informed and empowered birth.

HypnoBirthing is a 5-week childbirth education course that teaches deep relaxation, self-hypnosis, visualization, and breathing techniques to support an easier and more comfortable birth. We’ll dive deep into the principles of physiological and instinctive birth to reduce fear, limit unnecessary interventions, and emphasize the body’s natural abilities to birth your baby.

The Mongan Method- is broken up into 5 classes. Class one you will learn about the history of birth and the philosophy behind HypnoBirthing. Class two is all about preparing the mind and body for birth as well as ways to intentionally build your birth. Class three dives into birth preferences and specific relaxation practices for labor. Class four highlights the role of the birth partner and various comfort measures that are available to all birthing people. Class five you will learn about the final stage of labor (the pushing phase) as well as postpartum, family bonding, and breastfeeding.
